2023 Minnesota State Fair

We took a trip to the 2023 Minnesota State Fair and stopped by the agriculture building. There were some big pumpkins, but I’ve seen bigger ones in past years. I wonder if a giant pumpkin would make a giant pumpkin pie?

I enjoyed looking at the spicy peppers. Years ago we grew a Carolina Reaper plant. We only got one pepper off the whole darn plant. We did make a nice chili with it though.

For eats we hit up the food building. We had the crunchy balboa, the Herbivorous Butcher’s State Fair special. It came with some type of vegan mayo that was really good. We also tried the oatly soft serve. It was very good. I also got a vegan corn dog, but I ate it too fast and didn’t get a picture of it. It kinda reminded me of when Morning Star used to sell those frozen vegetarian corn dogs in the freezer section.

Lastly, in one of the arts and crafts buildings, we found a section of spooky items. I especially liked the Frankenstein's Monster stained glass.
