This is a recording of Elmer Monson interviewing his mother Mollie. It was recorded on cassette. I got the tape from Judy Weber one of the grandkids of Ephraim and Mollie. Elmer's note says it was from 1977, but Mollie passed away in 1975, so that date can't be right. Here the note affixed to the tape:

Dear Ruby and Harry -
This tape is a copy of the recording of an interview with Mother at the nursing home in Elkhorn Iowa on May 26, 1977. We wish we would have done this earlier so that Mom would have remembered more. However, we throught you would enjoy hearing her voice again. Have a nice Christmas.
