Thunder in the Valley

Thunder in the Valley started from the remnants of While They Slept. Graham and Bill played together in that band. My old band Season of Fire used to play shows with While They Slept. Graham lived with Jake in this house called Fort Awesome. We played mostly local shows. Radio K and th current would play our songs from time to time. I think Graham renamed a bunch of the songs when they were finally released. We got a bunch of press, the pictures have a couple of write ups from City Pages. We got a grant from the American Composers Forum and got to record an album, which was fun. One of Nick's friends was making a movie and wanted some songs. We wrote one instrumental, in which I play upright bass and then recorded a cover of the Birthday Party's Friend Catcher. I don't think those songs were ever released outside of being in the movie. I ended up leaving when I started working a full time job. They went on and recorded a couple more albums after I left.
